To install an Expert Advisor for automated or algorithmic trading, follow these steps:
1. Open the MT4 platform
2. Select ‘File’ from the main menu
3. Click on ‘Open Data Folder’ to bring up a new folder panel
4. Select the ‘MQL4’ folder, followed by the ‘Experts’ file
5. Copy the files from the EXPERTS folder that we have provided to you and paste
them into the Experts folder of your MT4 platform.
If your EA includes indicators, please copy the contents of the INDICATORS folder
we provided and paste them into the MT4 Indicators folder.
If your EA includes libraries, please copy the contents of the LIBRARIES folder we
provided and paste them into the MT4 Libraries folder.
If your EA includes presets, please copy the contents of the PRESETS folder we
provided and paste them into the MT4 Presets folder.
If your EA includes templates, please copy the contents of the TEMPLATES folder
we provided and paste them into the MT4 Templates folder.
6. IMPORTANT: IF THE EA HAS A TEMPLATE, PLACE THE TEMPLATE FIRST:
OPEN A PAIR, RIGHT CLICK on the chart /TEMPLATES/look for the
Nameofyourtemplate.set and click ok.
7. Your template will be loaded, now we are ready to place the EA in this chart but if
your EA does not include templates, there is no need to worry, simply proceed to
the next step.
8. FIRST OPEN THE PAIR YOU WANT TO TRADE : example: EURUSD
THEN CHOOSE DE DESIRED TF: M1-M5-M15-H1-H4- OR D (daily)
Step 1: Press Ctrl + N to open the Navigator window
Step 2: Search for the EA's name within the Expert Advisors folder
Step 3: Click on the EA and drag it to the chart
Step 4: Don't forget to click OK.
Step 5: Proceed to the next "3-steps guide."
